Italian Arthouse Choreography #3 Simona Bertozzi| Bird’s Eye View

The third in a series of four performances presenting the work of independent Italian choreographers in collaboration with Tripspace. Part of our new season Intercontinental Drifts 2017: performances and workshops that move, mix and matter.

Each performance is followed by a post-show talk offering further insight into the artist’s process and thinking, hosted by Betsy Gregory.

Bird’s Eye View is a musing on flying, the mesmerizing and playful journey of a solitary explorer in a highly visionary landscape. A pioneer or a survivor this player embodies a witty and breathtaking physical trip, teetering between human and animal states. Simona Bertozzi is a choreographer, dancer and performer based in Bologna, where she graduated in Theatre and Dance Studies. Since 2005, she has been researching movement, composition and choreography, merging the impact of a strong physicality with theoretical references from visual arts, anthropology and philosophy. http://simonabertozzi.it
