FILL. Festival of Italian Literature in London

Date:

10/21/2017

FILL. Festival of Italian Literature in London

Two days of events, over 30 speakers, authors and thinkers from different backgrounds, distinguished names and younger radical ones. Italian, British, and international voices will discuss literature and contemporary topics such as migration, politics, London, Italy, gender, contemporary culture. London, today more than ever, is an outpost from which to look at the movements of our time.

This is the premise of the Festival of Italian Literature in London (FILL), a new festival of literature and ideas born from the London-based Italian literary community and co-organised with the Italian Cultural Institute of London. The Festival wants to attract all Londoners and all events will be in English or Italian with consecutive translation.

The Festival will run on the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of October. It will take place in the heart of London, at the Coronet Theatre in Notting Hill. Print Room at the Coronet has been glad to partner up with the organisers of the Festival and will host the festival's events in their spaces (Auditorium, Studio, and Bar).

Visitors will be able to enjoy panel discussions, readings, an exclusive book launch, a collaborative poetry event especially devised for the festival, and DJ sets. FILL tries to build bridges and to break down walls, offering a different perspective on Italy, the United Kingdom, Europe and the world thanks to a mix of insiders and outsiders, thinkers rooted in a country, and "citizens of nowhere".
