Kekko Fornarelli Trio More eclectic than ever, Kekko Fornarelli presents his fans with ROOM OF MIRRORS, the result of the new and irresistible creative energy of his Trio. Three years after his last album, and following work in France and all over Europe, this is the brand new project by Kekko Fornarelli. The way Kekko Fornarelli’s jazz music changes and reinvents itself, opens up to a more and more universal vision of music. The focus is all on the new sound, created to reach a wider audience, beyond the restricted circle of connoisseurs.

The synergy with two great jazz talents, Luca Alemanno (double bass) and Dario Congedo (drums), has made Room of mirrors, published by Auand Records, possible. Thanks to the research made by this Trio, Room of Mirrors is able to tell its stories making good use of the patterns and shapes of music, so it can be observed as well as listened to. The album’s novelty originates from the quick rhythm of the metropolitan background, interpreted in an unusual but spot-on and enjoyable union with the lyricism of the neoclassic harmonies. The use of electronic elements and the sinthetisization of the acoustic instruments enables the ensemble to offer a wide range of colours and ambiences: the voice of Room of Mirrors is a new one on the Italian jazz scene. Room of Mirrors is a dive in a whirl of changing, melting and blending sensations: from fast to slow, from lavish to simple, from black to white. Room of Mirrors can be the space for ideas and the time of creations.

Room of Mirrors (April 2011) is published by AUAND Records and distributed by Egea. Kekko’s great talent and classy musicality, renowned all over Europe, are highlighted by the several collaborations with some of the greatest musicians on the international jazz scene (Rosario Giuliani, Flavio Boltro, Michel Benita, Francesco Bearzatti, Luca Bulgarelli, Yuri Goloubev, Benjamin Henocq, Nicolas Folmer, Jerome Regard, Manhu Roche, Andy Gravish, Eric Prost, Marco Tamburini, Jean-Luc Rimey Meille, to mention but a few). Over a few years Kekko Fornarelli has played in some of the most important Jazz festivals: Festival Jazz:Alberobello Jazz, Beat Onto Jazz, Multiculturita Summer Festival, Bari Jazz Festival, Valsugana Jazz Tour, Crocevia di suoni Jazz Festival, Gallarate Jazz Festival, Festival delle Serre, Caivano Jazz Festival, Annecy Jazz Festival, A Vaulx Jazz, Spazio Jazz - Teatro Comunale L'Aquila, Baronissi Jazz, Terni Jazz Festival, Palmi Jazz Festival.
